American Airlines biggest plane will fly from Charlotte Airport
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – American Airlines’ biggest plane will soon fly from Charlotte Airport.
AA adjusted its winter wide-body aircraft schedule over the weekend and announced one daily flight between CLT and London Heathrow. That flight will operate with a Boeing 777-300ER beginning on Nov. 5, 2024, making it the first time the airplane has flown out of CLT on a regularly scheduled service.
The aircraft has a whopping 304 seats, which are broken down into the following categories:
Flagship® First: 8 seats
Flagship® Business: 52 seats
Premium Economy: 28 seats
Main Cabin Extra: 28 seats
Main Cabin: 188 seats
Comparatively, AA’s next largest plane is the Boeing 787-9, which has 285 seats — with 200 being the main cabin.
