Modern Family star states Patrick Mahomes’ ambitions to move above Tom Brady

The NFL hasn’t skipped a beat since the retirement of Tom Brady, as Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes has assumed the mantle of best quarterback in the league.

The 28-year-old is the marquee name when it comes to the league, having already won three Super Bowls despite his relatively young age.

Now, with the Chiefs starting the new NFL campaign against the Baltimore Ravens, Mahomes will look to lead the team and accomplish something Brady and other greats never did: win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Actor Rob Riggle recently joined ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ and talked about the Chiefs’ chances of winning another title, as well as Mahomes’ legacy.

“See, all this GOAT talk stuff around Brady, obviously deserved, I got it. Patrick wants to separate himself from that, right, in my opinion,” said Riggle.

Given that the three-peat has never been done, Riggles believes that if Mahomes were to win another Super Bowl this season, “it’ll be one of the greatest sports feats in history.”
Mahomes vs Brady

When comparing their first six years as a starter, there isn’t much separating Mahomes and Brady.

They both have three Super Bowl rings, though Mahomes has one more (4) AFC Title.

Mahomes also has a 72-22 record compared to Brady’s 70-24, though the Chiefs star has thrown for quite a few more TDs (260 to 167).

With the NFL season now upon us, and the Chiefs poised to play a big role in the campaign, Riggle is optimistic that this season will be a successful one for Kansas City.

“I believe in Patrick, I believe in the team, I believe in Reid, I believe in the organization all the way, top to bottom. So, if anybody can do it, I really believe these guys have the ability to do it and it will be incredibly special. It will be in a weird way, again statistically speaking, you know, an underdog story,” said Riggle.
