Bills projected to give key role to 5th-round rookie after offseason departure
The Buffalo Bills lost an unsung contributor this offseason.
Veteran third tight end Quintin Morris signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Morris played 214 offensive snaps in 2024 and also 80% of the special teams snaps.
Replacing him is a key role that flies under the radar.
SI’s Ralph Ventre projects fifth-round rookie Jackson Hawes, out of Georgia Tech, to win the job over Zach Davidson and Keleki Latu.
“While rookies can be wildcards, Hawes isn’t exactly your average rookie,” Ventre writes. “With six years of college under his belt, and set to turn 25 years old in December, he has had plenty of time to mature. The physical tight end seems to possess a demeanor that fits the Bills’ style.”
