The Las Vegas Raiders have chosen to release quarterback Carter Bradley.
Bradley, 25, signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 Draft and alternated between the active roster and the practice squad during his first year.

The move occurs just two weeks before the team’s training camp and after the Raiders added quarterbacks Geno Smith and Cam Miller in recent months.
Meanwhile, Gardner Minshew—who served as a Week 1 starter for the Raiders last year—was also let go by the team. He has since joined the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bradley, on the other hand, is the son of former Raiders defensive coordinator Gus Bradley; however, those family connections were insufficient to earn him a spot at training camp.
He did not participate during the regular season for the Raiders but did take the field during their 2024 preseason.
In those matches, Bradley delivered respectable performances. Notably, in their preseason finale against the 49ers, he went 9 for 21, for 169 yards and one touchdown.
Meanwhile, back in April, the Raiders announced that quarterback Geno Smith had secured a new two-year extension.
He signed a deal with the franchise worth $85.5m with $66.5m guaranteed, keeping him a Raider until 2027.
Tom Brady’s Raiders acquired the quarterback from Seattle in March in a move that sees Smith reunite with former head coach Pete Carroll.
The 34-year-old arrived in Vegas with one year remaining on a three-month contract that was worth $31m.
NFL Insider Ian Rapoport was the first to report Smith’s two-year extension.
